Home Office Funding
The Portsmouth Business Crime Reduction Partnership has been succesfull in obtaining £50,000.00 worth of funding from the Home Office. The funding will purchase a new digital radio system for the Partnership and target independent businessess.
Portsmouth Day Time Economy collecting intelligence
The PBCRP is working with the day time economy to collect intelligence. The intelligence will then be disseminated to members and partners.
Drink Banning Orders
The Banbury Pubwatch in Oxford is the first organisation to successfully apply for a Drink Banning Order in England. The Pubwatch recorded over 40 incidents of a male causing problems in their Night Time Economy and have now taken out a Drink Banning Order on him.
Preventing handbag thefts
The PBCRP and Police have purchased a number of Lanyards to distribute to vulnerable shoppers in the City Centre. the lanyard connects the shoppers purse to a handbag and prevents them being stolen. The Police will be identifying vulnerable shoppers and distributing them.
